Piece of the Pie

Reach in the sky
Where is my piece of the pie?
As I search for the blinding gleam
Of the elusive American dream
I am lodged in the depths of poverty
Stagnant progress and barren property
The lies being told leave us in the cold
Shivering violently, seeking a blanket
To warm you up from the bitter cold of reality
Where is my piece of the pie?
Consumed by my avaricious fellow-citizens
Leaving me aching with hunger, starving endlessly
With the millions of others who share my plight
No other viable alternatives in sight
We must portray the Tippin's man
To prevent the hunger of generations
That Old Man Sam forces upon us
